Independent buyer-guide research
RedLightTested is an independent buyer guide for red light therapy devices. We do not test devices ourselves. We compile brand-published specs and public sources, check prices against Amazon, label every claim we could not verify, and publish our corrections. No sponsored placements.
Why this site exists
Most red light therapy review sites are lists of Amazon links with specs copied from marketing pages. The numbers rarely say where they came from, and FDA language is repeated without anyone checking it.
We try to do the opposite: show where every number comes from, say so when a claim cannot be checked, and pull a listing when it turns out to be the wrong product.
What we do, and what we don't
We do not test devices and we do not run our own measurements. We read what manufacturers publish, check it against the live Amazon listing, and label what we could not verify. Here's what that covers:
- ✓Irradiance — recorded as the brand states it, with the distance when given, and labelled unverified
- ✓FDA and safety claims — hedged as brand claims unless a dated source backs them
- ✓Prices and listings — checked against Amazon and dated; a listing that does not match is pulled
- ✓Build and ownership — housing, stand, accessories and warranty terms as documented in the listing and brand pages
